The final handmade market of the year is happening this weekend at EPIC. There will be over 260 designers and producers selling everything from limited edition fashion, ceramics, children's toys and clothing, original artworks, jewellery and more. Details here.

Origin Bake: Egyptian-inspired bakery Origin Bake have a new bakery cafe in the City. It's located near the ANU on Childers Street. It's worth the trip for the Rye bread!
Bravo Pizza: Red Hill's popular wood-fired pizza shop Bravo is getting a second location. A new Bravo Pizza will be opening in Farrer. I don't have an opening date yet but I believe it is coming very soon. Details here.
Lepi Panettone: Local artisan bakery Lepi (Chisholm and Kambah) are baking panettone for Christmas. They have a triple chocolate and traditional panettone available. Details here.
Silo Christmas Bakes: Silo in Kingston has a number of Christmas bakes available for order up until this Friday. They have Christmas cakes (Australian country recipe), Christmas pudding, pfefferkuchen, stollen, panforte and more. Details here.
Masala Kitchen: A new Indian restaurant is opening in the spot where Ganjees used to be on Lonsdale Street in Braddon. Masala Kitchen runs several other restaurants in Sydney.
Caspian Cafe: Latham has a new cafe. Caspian Cafe is open daily from 7am - 6pm. Details here.
15 London Cafe: Inspired by London's café scene, 15 London Cafe brings a touch of the UK to the City. I'm not sure how authentic the café is as they don't have a full English breakfast on the menu. Details here.
Cranky Thursdays: BentSpoke is looking to drum up support for its Crankshaft Beer in the GABS Hottest 100 beer awards. Every Thursday until the awards, there will be discounted Crankshaft pints, a meat raffle, and live music. Details here.
NYE Cocktail Crawl: Bootleg, Dolly’s, Hopscotch and Paloma's are teaming up for a New Year's Eve cocktail crawl. Your ticket will include a signature cocktail at each of the venues. Details here.
BentSpoke: On NYE, BentSpoke will be transforming into a sideshow alley for a night of carnival-themed fun. There's an option to add an all-inclusive drinks and carnival-inspired canapés package for $99. Details here.

Toga Party: Ambrosia Lounge in the Dairy Road precinct is throwing a Toga Party for NYE. Tickets include canapés, a cocktail on arrival and sparkling at midnight. Details here.

Gundaroo Drive Duplication: It's taken an age, but Gundaroo Drive between Barton Highway and Ginninderra Drive has been duplicated. While major construction has been completed, landscaping and work on the off-road shared path will continue over the coming months. Once this work is complete, the speed limit will be raised back to 80km/h.
Canberra Motorist Killed: A driver has died near Yass after being hit in the head by an object from a caravan travelling in the other direction. More.
