📆 This Weekend is: Saturday May 31, Sunday June 1 and Monday June 2. Monday is Reconciliation Day.


🤝 Reconciliation Day

Reconciliation Day is happening Monday, June 2, and there’s a full program of events in Commonwealth Park. Rapper and master storyteller Kobie Dee will headline the entertainment program at Stage 88, alongside a range of performances. Activities include Desert Pea craft, basket weaving, native plant and bush tucker demonstrations, face painting, and much more. Events run from 10am to 3pm in Commonwealth Park. Details here.


🖼️ Cézanne to Giacometti

The National Gallery’s next major exhibition, Cézanne to Giacometti: highlights from Museum Berggruen / Neue Nationalgalerie, opens this Saturday. See works from Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, Paul Klee and Alberto Giacometti and the works from the Australian artists they inspired. There are a number of events happening this Saturday to celebrate the opening. Details here.


🏉 Brumbies v Crusaders

The Brumbies will play their final home game of the regular season this Friday night when they take on the Crusaders. Details here.


🦊 Sly Fox Markets

Held on the bike path between Macarthur Avenue and David Street in O’Connor, the Sly Fox Markets is a flea market where you’ll find food, handmade arts, crafts, books, music and vintage goods. If you live in the Inner North, it’s worth walking/riding by to pick up a coffee and browse the goods. They’re happening this Saturday from 10am – 3pm. Details here.


🇮🇹 Festa Italiana

Celebrate Italian culture with food, live music and more at the Italian Cultural Centre this Sunday. Details here.


🤼 Slam Pro Wrestling

The SLAM! Pro Wrestling League returns to Canberra for a night of high-energy action—part athleticism, part chaos. Details here.


Kids: ✂️ Art Lab

Upcycle and bling out pre-loved clothes in this free Art Lab for teens, led by the 'Queen of Bling', Wiradjuri designer Kristy Dickinson of Haus of Dizzy. It's on at the National Gallery this Reconciliation Day. Details here.


Murray The Red Wiggle

The OG red Wiggle, Murray, will be performing a DJ set at Cube Nightclub. He’ll be spinning everything from childhood classics to unexpected club bangers. Details here.


Markets This Weekend in Canberra

The Hartley Hall Markets: Find produce, plants, furniture, handmade gifts and more at the Hartley Hall Markets—one of Canberra’s longest running and largest markets. Details here.

Capital Region Farmers Market: Canberra's largest farmers market, with over 100 stalls offering fresh produce, including fruit and veg, baked goods, meat, seafood and more. It runs every Saturday morning at EPIC from 7am to 11:30am. Details here.

Little Burley Markets: Located on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin, The Little Burley Markets run every Saturday morning. They make a great stop on a walk around the lake. Details here.

Haig Park Village Markets: The markets are held in Haig Park every Sunday from 8am to 2pm. You'll find a mix of fresh produce, baked goods, handmade products and food and drink stalls. Details here.

The Old Bus Depot Markets: The OBDM run every Sunday on the Kingston Foreshore. Details here.

Southside Farmers Market: The Southside Farmers Market is held every Sunday morning at Canberra College in Phillip. Details here.

Jamison Trash and Treasure: Runs every Sunday in Belconnen. As well as pre-loved and vintage items, you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, honey, and plants. Details here.
