Celebrity chef Matt Moran is opening two new dining venues in Canberra. One is a Steakhouse & Italian restaurant, and the other is a sandwich bar &Sando.
To celebrate the opening, the first 50 people to show a screenshot proving theyโve signed up to the website will get a free sandwich. Details here.
News: Botswana Butchery Goes into Administration
Good Group Australia, which owns the recently opened Botswana Butchery in Canberra, has gone into administration. Botswana Butchery opened in Canberra just a few months ago. The Canberra restaurant is still accepting reservations, and whether the administrators plan to keep the restaurant running is still unclear.
This Weekend: ๐ The Big Book Fair
The Woden Seniors Club is hosting their Big Book Fair this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be over 25,000 books for sale as well as jigsaws, DVDs, CDs and board games. Entry is via a gold coin donation. Details here.

Ever wondered how chefs get their gnocchi so light and fluffy? 10 Yards in Aranda is hosting a hands-on gnocchi cooking class. The class includes dinner paired with local wines and beers. Details here.
Sport: Raiders v Eels
The Raiders will take on the Eels at Canberra Stadium this Sunday night. Simi Sasagi is making his debut. Heโs replacing Zac Hosking, who was ruled out of this weekโs match with a concussion. Tickets here.

Did you know that Kita opens from 6pm to 6am, Tuesday to Saturday? Kita is an indo-fusion cafe at the Narrabundah Shops. They serve up Southeast Asian favourites, including Laksa, Nasi Goreng and a curry of the week. Find out more.
News: ๐ฃ NCA Looking for New Paddle Boat Operators
The National Capital Authority is calling for proposals from operators to restore, maintain and operate the 12 paddle boats that were removed from service last year. The paddle boats were being operated by GoBoat Canberra and it hasnโt been made public why they stopped running.
Paddle boats had been operating in Canberra for over 50 years. They were previously located in the west basin before the redevelopment of the shoreline.
