📀 Canberra Polo Record Fair

The Winter Edition of the Canberra Polo Record Fair returns this Sunday at the Polish Club in Turner. Browse a massive collection of records from local and interstate sellers, and grab a waffle, egg-and-bacon roll or kransky hotdog. Entry by gold-coin donation. Details here.

💡 Illume

Only a few tickets remain for Bangarra Dance Theatre’s new, critically acclaimed theatrical experience Illume—a fusion of dance, music and visual art that celebrates First Nations peoples’ timeless relationship with light while confronting the ecological threat of modern light pollution. 🤼 Slam Pro Wrestling

The Slam Pro Wrestling League—a family-friendly interactive sports and entertainment spectacle—returns to the UC Refectory this Saturday. Details here.

🎄 Kambah Market

There’s a Christmas in July–themed market happening in Kambah this Saturday with locally made craft stalls, bric‑a‑brac and upcycled trash and treasure. Details here.


🛍️ Giralang Shops Grand Opening

The shops at Giralang are finally reopening this weekend. To celebrate there will be a free BBQ, kids’ face painting, wine tasting and $1 coffees. Details here.


🍷 An Idiot’s Guide to Wine

Comedian and wine expert Merrick Watts brings his hit show to Pialligo Estate this Friday and Saturday. Details here.


🥳 Nightlife: Peacemaker Turns One

The Peacemaker Saloon in Braddon is turning one. They’re celebrating with a shindig from noon on Saturday, July 26. There will be a live band, a mechanical bull, and lasso and horseshoe games. Details here.


🎉 Nightlife: Mooseheads Turns 21

Iconic Canberra nightlife venue Mooseheads is celebrating its 21st birthday next Saturday with a festival spanning all four levels and featuring five different stages. Details here.


🕺 Nightlife: Love Disco

Strap on your rollerblades, slip on your favourite pair of bell‑bottom jeans, and pop a few extra buttons on your satin shirt—Love Disco is coming to Blackbird next Saturday. It will be a night of disco dance‑floor hits alongside performances by Canberra’s finest Drag Queens. Details here.


🎧 Nightlife: Retro Silent Disco

Party at the National Museum next Saturday when they host the Retro Silent Disco. There will be three DJs—you can choose the party you want to tune into: Christmas in July, 80s and 90s Pop, Rock & Chart‑Toppers, and Classic Dance Anthems. Details here.


🍷 Fireside Festival

Wineries from the Canberra region are holding special events as part of the Fireside Festival from 21 July to 3 August. This weekend:

Dionysus Winery is hosting a Truffle and Alpaca Day—say hello to an alpaca (or two), browse winter woollies made from their alpaca fibre, and learn more about truffle dogs from the Truffle Patch. Details here.

Pankhurst Wines is hosting a fire‑pit and truffle event—enjoy platters of cheese and butter infused with local truffles by the warming fire pits. Details here.


🎅 Christmas in July

Canberra’s Christmas store Under the Mistletoe is hosting Christmas in July this weekend. Enjoy hot chocolate and festive treats, fire pits for marshmallow roasting, music, entertainment, and a visit from Santa. Details here.


Midwinter Warmer Bush Dance

Warm up with a lively evening of music and dance, featuring the Argyll Ceilidh Band. All dances will be taught and called—no experience needed, and everyone is welcome. Details here.


Note: The Winter Festival that was happening this weekend has been postponed to August 8 due to the expected wet weather. Sunday’s Frozen Furstival has also been cancelled due to the weather.


Markets This Weekend in Canberra

Good Goodies Flea Market: A community style flea market at Gang Gang where local creatives have the chance to have a stall at NO cost to share their goodies!!! Think stalls ranging from arty art, preloved & vintage clothes, pottery, magic, cake treats & much much more. Details here.

Capital Region Farmers Market: Canberra's largest farmers market, with over 100 stalls offering fresh produce, including fruit and veg, baked goods, meat, seafood and more. It runs every Saturday morning at EPIC from 7am to 11:30am. Details here.

Little Burley Markets: Located on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin, The Little Burley Markets run every Saturday morning. They make a great stop on a walk around the lake. Details here.

Haig Park Village Markets: The markets are held in Haig Park every Sunday from 8am to 2pm. You'll find a mix of fresh produce, baked goods, handmade products and food and drink stalls. Details here.

Southside Farmers Market: The Southside Farmers Market is held every Sunday morning at Canberra College in Phillip. Details here.

Jamison Trash and Treasure: Runs every Sunday in Belconnen. As well as pre-loved and vintage items, you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, honey, and plants. Details here.
