If you're a film lover, the not-for-profit ANU Film Group offers one of the best ways to see movies in Canberra. An annual membership gives you entry to over 200 films for the average price of just six adult tickets at your local cinema. Films are screened in a ~300-seat theatre using professional digital cinema projectors. While the ANU Film Group is based at the ANU, membership is open to anyone and everyone—you don't need to be affiliated with the university.
The winter season starts on May 7, and the full program is available here. A season membership is just $30, and an annual membership is $90. Details here.
