EightySix South is Closing: eightysix south in Woden has announced it will close on June 30. The team will focus on their Braddon venue going forward.

The man from the moon is coming to Canberra! Mr Squiggle and Friends—a new exhibition opening in July—will showcase more than 300 objects from the Museum's recently acquired Norman Hetherington collection. Details here.
The National Film and Sound Archive has launched the program for its Winter Film Series. Highlights include a 50th anniversary screening of Picnic at Hanging Rock(Director's Cut), Australian queer cinema Teenage Kicks with a Q&A featuring director Craig Boreham AO, a sing-along screening of Mary Poppins, and plenty of classics and family-friendly films. Saul Griffith: In collaboration with Electrify Canberra, Saul Griffith will be in conversation with Lish Fejer about his latest book Plug In! The Electrification Handbook. Saul has been a principal investigator on projects for NASA, the US National Science Foundation, and the US Special Operations Command, and was awarded the MacArthur "Genius" Grant in 2007. Enter the Wild: Wildbark at Mulligans Flat is rolling out the red carpet for a double film screening of Enter the Wild—a breathtaking short documentary series by wildlife filmmaker Beau Eastman—plus a special Mulligans Flat episode by Canberra's own Rory Blackburn-Rooney. Details here.
Free Parking in the City: To help reduce the impact of major construction projects on city centre businesses, free evening parking has been introduced in the City from Wednesday to Sunday.
