Bell Shakespeare's Henry 5 is coming to Canberra in April. King Henry V is young, ambitious, and determined to prove himself on the battlefield. After a taunting insult from the French prince, he thrusts England into war, rallying his outnumbered soldiers from despair to an unlikely triumph at Agincourt. But victory comes at a price. Bell Shakespeare's powerful production explores the gripping story of a king torn between glory and the true cost of ambition. Details here.
Catch the final weekend of the Canberra Comedy Festival, see Natalie Bassingthwaighte in Shirley Valentine, and (hopefully) watch the balloons inflate at the Balloon Spectacular — plus plenty more happening around town.

If you want the clubbing experience without the morning-after regrets, I've got the event for you. The Morning Grind is a daytime social event that combines a morning coffee with beats. These events have gone viral on social media overseas, with DJs popping up at bakeries, cafés, and even greengrocers across Europe.
Morning Grind's first event is happening on Saturday, April 5, at Taco Boi in Braddon. There'll be coffee from Bean Culture and beats from DJ Zeal. Details are currently scarce, but you can follow them on Instagram. Details here.
A few film and book events coming up:
Manning Clark Film Appreciation: Manning Clark House is hosting a film appreciation evening featuring Romeo & Juliet by the Stuttgart Ballet (2017). It's happening tomorrow evening (apologies for the late notice). Details here.
Cinéwine Film Night: The Embassy of Italy is sponsoring a special screening at the French Film Festival. See The Deluge, which evocatively depicts the final days of the French Revolution and the fates of Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI. Tickets include a glass of wine on arrival. Details here.
A Climbing Life: Armando Corvini shares his remarkable story, from his early days in Trieste, Italy, to life in Canberra. After suffering severe frostbite in a Himalayan mountaineering accident, he faced a long and painful recovery. Yet today, at 85, he continues to teach others how to climb, abseil, and go caving. He's launching his memoir A Climbing Life next weekend. Details here.
