Pharmacy Trial Expands: More pharmacies in the ACT will soon offer treatment for uncomplicated UTIs and resupply of the contraceptive pill following a successful trial. The expansion aims to improve access to healthcare while reducing pressure on GPs and emergency departments. ACT Chief Ambulance Officer Retires: ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) Chief Officer Howard Wren will retire at the end of February, marking the end of a five-decade career in ambulance and healthcare. Reflecting on his journey, Wren said, "When I started my career as a paramedic in 1974, all that was required was to be over 18, have an unrestricted driver's license and a few first aid certificates."
