A festival of cycling culture is happening in Canberra at the end of February. Cyclonats is an annual celebration of all things cycling. Events include a night glow ride, group bike rides, a cycle market, unicycling come-and-try sessions and much more. Details here.
From March 15 to 23, the skies above Canberra will be filled with hot air balloons each morning. Balloons will launch from John Dunmore Lang Place, where you'll find a vibrant festival atmosphere with food trucks and coffee carts. The balloon flights are weather-dependent. You can check the Canberra Balloon Spectacular website from around 6am for daily flight announcements. But even if the balloons don't take flight, some will still inflate and tether on-site.
