Bungendore is hosting its first full-day food and entertainment festival this Saturday. Expect a giant marquee with long-table dining surrounded by food trucks—from artisan gelato and wood-fired pizza to Bhutanese dumplings and Dutch pancakes. There’s a family-friendly daytime session (10am–2pm) with activities including kite-flying, circus skills with Warehouse Circus, a craft space with Bungendore Crafters Co-op, and samba beats from Canberra band Raio De Sol. The evening session begins at 5pm with live music under the fairy lights, fire pits, and wine from local wineries. Details here.
Tender Funerals is a not-for-profit funeral service with the vision that every Australian should have access to meaningful and affordable funerals. Since opening last August in Canberra, there has been strong demand for their services, with more than 140 families choosing Tender to support them. Next Saturday, Tender Funerals will be holding an open day to showcase what community-led funeral care looks like. Details here.
