Tickets to Floriade’s NightFest are now on sale. The after-dark celebration returns to Commonwealth Park from 2–5 October, each night from 6:30–10:30 pm. Dirrum Dirrum Festival is an annual social-change event run by Year 12 students at Radford College—a night of thought-provoking talks, community stalls, and live music. This year’s line-up includes journalist Stan Grant, Wurrumay Collectivefounder Tash Kaiser, Plate It Forward founder Shaun Christie-David, and Australian Idol winner Royston Noell. The event is aimed at high school students and adults passionate about making a difference, and offers the chance to hear from organisations driving social change in Canberra and Australia. Kingsley’s Coming to Gungahlin: It’s taken a while, but Kingsley’s Chicken is finally opening a location in Gungahlin. It’s the first new store location in over a decade, and Kingsley’s “unbelievable chicken and awesome chips” will soon be available at the Casey Shops.
