Steam Train Rides: Take a heritage rail journey behind a steam locomotive from Canberra to Bungendore and back, with spectacular views of Molonglo Gorge and travelling through three tunnels. Details here.

Federal Election Guide: The ABC has posted a guide to voting in the ACT for this federal election, including the finalised candidates for each electorate. Early voting will be available in Canberra starting on April 22. However, unlike the ACT election, you do need a valid reason to vote early. More.
Flu Shots: The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners is predicting an early start to the flu season this year and has advised that now is the time to get your influenza vaccine. More.
Parents looking to arrange an annual influenza vaccine for children aged 6 months to 5 years can access a free pop-up vaccination clinic in May and June. Details here.
This ANZAC long weekend, the Brumbies and Raiders are teaming up to offer a 2-for-1 double pass. On Saturday, catch the Brumbies take on the Hurricanes, and on Sunday, the Raiders take on the Dolphins. You’ll get access to both games for the price of one. Details here.
On May 18, the Canberra Hospital Foundation is hosting the Mighty Guts Walkathonto raise funds for kids in the ACT living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). All proceeds from the Lake Burley Griffin walk will go toward IBD Comfort Packs—practical kits filled with essentials to ease daily challenges, reduce anxiety, and help young patients face life with confidence.
