Seoul Sistaz, a new Korean cafe has opened on Moore Street in the City. They’re selling triangle kimbap (similar to sushi and perfect for lunch) as well as sandwiches and Korean snacks and drinks. Details here.
Canberra’s newest suburbs in Molonglo have been named Bandler and Sulman. Faith Bandler was a civil rights activist, and Sir John Sulman was an architect involved in the planning of Canberra.

Wondering who gets to pick the names for new suburbs, bridges, parks etc? The ACT Place Names Advisory Committee provide recommendations of names to the Minister. The committee is a diverse group of 13 community members and they were appointed in July and will serve until 2027.
Public Transport in Canberra will be free from Friday September 20 for a period of approximately 6 weeks. During this time, the old MyWay system hardware will be removed and the new MyWay+ system installed.
Make sure you keep your MyWay cards - they will not work with the new system, but any existing balance can be transferred. Make sure your MyWay card is registered. More.
The National Arboretum will be holding Bonsai Workshops during the September/October school holidays. In the beginner workshops for children aged 8-16, participants will make their own Bonsai creation to take home and care for. Details here.
