This month marks the 50th anniversary of the Jamison Trash and Treasure Market. Run by the Rotary Club of Belconnen the market has raised over $8 million. In its 50-year history, it has only missed one week due to COVID. Alongside the familiar "Trash and Treasure" itemsโbric-a-brac and second-hand goodsโyou'll also find fresh produce, books, plants, poultry, and more. The market runs every Sunday in the Jamison car park from 6:30am to 12:30pm. Details here.
It's taken a while, but a sushi train has finally opened on the Kingston Foreshore. Taiwa Sushi offers an extensive range of sushi and sashimi as well as rice bowls, noodles and other hot dishes. It's open every day from 11am to 9:30pm.
