This Friday, Greening Australia will be holding its Spring Plant Sale, which will include local native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and large trees for just $2 per plant. Regional brewer Tumut River Brewing Co. has announced that it will close its doors on September 22nd. This comes just months after the brewery expanded and opened a new venue in Kingston.
Emerging local artist David Kindon will be holding his first exhibition Life’s a Beach, a series of oil paintings featuring the Australian coastline. Canberra journalist Jack Waterford will be launching the exhibition this Wednesday at Strathnairn Arts. Details here.
Set sail to Floriade this spring and enjoy a scenic ferry ride across the lake. The ferry departs six times a day from the Kingston Foreshore and Queen’s Park Terrace. Tickets for adults are $9.50, and family passes are available. Details here.

Sulwood Drive Reopens Sulwood Drive will be reopening in both directions today. It has been closed for major upgrades since May. Access to Mount Taylor has been improved and new traffic lights have been installed. Work will continue on the 4 km bike path.
Dickson Library: Dickson Library will be closed today. The chutes will remain open.
