Airport Upgrades: Canberra Airport is set to become the first in Australia to use a new digital air traffic control system. Airservices Australia has installed a 30-metre camera mast that looks over the airport, allowing controllers to manage flights using cameras and sensors.
Caretaker Period: The caretaker period in the ACT officially started yesterday. Based on convention, there will be no more major policy decisions, major appointments or contracts signed. One of the last major contracts signed by this government was for the construction of a new public school in Strathnairn.
