Early voting for the ACT election begins today. Unlike the federal election, voters do not need a specific reason to vote early. Of course, the one downside of voting early is missing out on a democracy sausage. There are eleven early voting centres across Canberra. More.

Growing Friends 2024 Plant Sale
The Botanic Gardens’ Growing Friends are hosting a native plant sale this Saturday with plants sold for just $6. A list of plants with descriptions is available on the website. Details here.
Greening Australia October Plant Sale Greening Australia’s final plant sale will be happening this Friday. All plants will be available for $3.30 per tube. Due to the limited stock and parking on-site, bookings are required. Details here.
photo access is the ACT and region’s centre for contemporary photography, film and video. The artist-run initiative has been operating since 1984.
On October 25, photo access will be celebrating its 40th birthday with a day/night filled with activities, celebrations and exhibition opening. Details here.
