Eats: 🍽️ The Ottoman is Reopening
Established in 1992, Ottoman Cuisine went on to become one of Canberra's most-awarded fine dining restaurants. In 2021, it unexpectedly closed but I have good news—the restaurant is reopening in its original location on November 5. You can expect many of the old menu favourites to return. Exhibition: ⛓️ The Robert Foster Metal Prize
The Robert Foster Metal Prize is a national prize celebrating excellence in the field of contemporary Australian metalworking. The finalists' exhibition is opening tonight at Craft + Design Canberra (City) and running through to December. Details here.
Coming Up: 🪩 A Retro Silent Disco
Silent Discos In Amazing Spaces is bringing its fun dance event to the National Museum this December. For one night only, the main atrium will be converted into a retro dance floor with three DJs simultaneously playing three uniquely themed DJ sets. You'll be supplied with wireless headphones, allowing you to switch between the different DJ sets playing 80s, 90s and 00s hits. Details here.

It's fete season in Canberra. Here's what's on this weekend:
La Grande Fete The Telopea School La Grande Fête is a fete with French flair. There will be a French cars display, carnival rides, beer and wine, cheese, pre-loved books, plants, crêpes and more. It's happening this Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. Details here.
Radford College Fete Radford College is holding a Twilight Fete this Saturday from 3 pm to 7 pm. There will be a vintage car display, carnival rides and all your favourite stalls. Details here.
St John Vianney's School Fete St John Vianney's in Waramanga is holding their fete this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be amazing plants, the ever popular cake stall, second-hand books and toys and plenty of activities for the family. Details here.
Chapman Primary School Fete The Chapman Primary School Fete is on this Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. There will be carnival rides, ponies, tombola, lob-a-choc and over $11,000 in raffle prizes. Details here.

🎃 Halloween
Today is Halloween. If your kids are planning on trick-or-treating, here are two maps showing many of the participating houses: map one and map two.

There's an impressive display featuring an absolutely massive spider and other scary props on the corner of 31 Gallagher Street and 1 Samson Place in Kambah.
In Wanniassa the "Halloween House" will be open over the next few days featuring a haunted house. It's located at 26 Osmand Street, Wanniassa. The owners will be collecting gold coin donations for the Little Stars Foundation. Details here.
