Immerse yourself in the charm of rural life at the Westwood Farm Open Day, happening this Saturday. Westwood Farm, located on Kambah Road, is run by Lions Youth Haven. The event is free, with a wide range of activities on offer, including buggy rides, meeting the animals, market stalls, nature crafts and more. Lake Ginninderra Path Upgrades: The upgrades to the shared-use path around Lake Ginninderra have been completed and the path is now open to the public. The paths have been widened and access has been improved for cyclists and pedestrians. An extra 48 trees were planted to offset the five trees removed during the work.
Tomatoes After Cup Day?: Is there any truth to the local aphorism that tomatoes shouldn't be planted in Canberra until after the Melbourne Cup? I'm curious to know if you follow this rule.
Tennis ACT is hosting a Community Tennis Day this weekend. The action-packed event will have something for everyone. For kids, there will be free Tennis Hot Shots classes by Tennis World Canberra, ball kid activities, roaming characters, face painting and glitter tattoos. Adults can enjoy cardio tennis classes or get their chance to try out pop tennis. Off the court, there will be a range of food options available, tunes from a local DJ, free seated massages from CBR Massage and grab a photo with the Australian Open trophies.
