One of Canberra’s most iconic restaurants is finally set to reopen. The Red Hill Carousel restaurant, designed by architect Miles Jakl and opened in 1963, was initially described as “one of Canberra’s most unusual buildings.” In 1981, Italian-born architect Enrico Taglietti added its now-iconic projecting bay windows, which he said were designed in the “style of the year 2021.” The site was sold to its current owners in 2021 and has since undergone extensive renovations. The new restaurant, Lunetta, will open next Friday (November 1), and bookings are now open with the menu available online. This promises to be one of Canberra’s prime dining destinations. The Wiggles are coming to Canberra in November. The Wiggles, Wiggle & Learn BIG SHOW! is an interactive and engaging live show experience inspired by the hit YouTube series. They’ll be performing at the AIS. Details here.
Popular Canberra bakery & café Wildflour will be opening a new store at the Jamison Centre in mid-November. The Belconnen store will join Wildflour’s two other locations in Kingston and Weston.
Happening next Friday, the Canberra & Region Wine Show showcases the superb quality of locally grown and produced wines, as well as recognising the achievements of winemakers in Canberra and the surrounding region.
As part of the show, there will be a public tasting experience on Friday evening with hundreds of wines available for tasting, including the chance to try the just-announced 2024 award winners. Details here.

The Great Moscow Circus is coming to Canberra on November 1. Don’t let the name fool you—it’s actually an Australian production featuring performers from around the world. The all-new extreme show includes BMX and scooter riders, trampoline acts, Russian swings, daredevil motorcycle cage riders, and aerial performers.
