Australia’s most expensive artwork, Lindy Lee’s Ouroboros, a giant stainless steel sculpture, has been unveiled and is now open to the public. Ouroboros is inspired by the ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail—representing eternal return and the cycles of birth, death, and renewal.
By day, the sculpture’s highly polished mirrored surface reflects its surroundings. At night, Ouroboros is lit from within, creating a stunning effect. The $14 million artwork is located in front of the National Gallery Details here.
