Canberra Railway Museum is teaming up with Canberra's Harry Potter-themed store, Quizzic Alley to create the Wizards Express. Climb aboard the specially decorated carriages to experience all things Harry Potter. Money raised will go towards the real magicβ€”bringing back steam to Canberra by restoring steam locomotive 3016. Vintage store Dirty Janes is hosting a night of creativity and community that combines wine, cheese, art, live performance and music. Details here.


Sport: πŸ‘ Highs and Lows for the Chill

The Canberra Chill hockey teams kicked off their season against the Perth Thundersticks in front of a nearly 2000-strong crowd with both highs and lows. The men's team secured a thrilling 4–3 victory. After taking an early 4–0 lead in the first quarter, they managed to hold on as Perth mounted a strong comeback. Meanwhile, the women's team faced a tough challenge, finishing with a 10–3 loss. Both teams will be back in action this Friday night against Adelaide Fire at the National Hockey Centre in Lyneham.


This Weekend: 🍷 Urban Wine Walk

The Urban Wine Walk is back once more this Saturday. Ten venues across the city will be hosting winemakers, and a number of interesting and alternative wineries will be represented. Embark on a self-guided tour to meet the winemakers and enjoy a tasting. Details here.


Stage: 🎭 Only Everything

Only Everything is a musical "dramedy" that weaves a tale of love, second chances, and the intricate dynamics of blending families. The show is an original musical written in Canberra by two locals, Shell Abdoo and Berin Denham. It's playing at the Canberra Theatre from October 17 to 26. Details here.


Something to do: 🧘 Free Community Yoga

Wildbark in the Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve is hosting free community yoga sessions. Instructor Kimberley is leading a 'Yin and Yang' class that incorporates strong flow movement with a slow stretch and release portion. The next session is happening this weekend. Details here.

The Murrumbateman Field Days is one of the region’s premier family farming events. There is an exciting lineup of events and entertainment including pig racing, machinery demonstrations, livestock displays, camel rides and much more. It's happening this Saturday and Sunday. Details here.
