The always-popular annual Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar is happening this Sunday at Albert Hall. Enjoy Christmas markets, a Scandinavian cafΓ©, entertainment including folk dances and Christmas songs, a raffle, and much more. Entry is via gold coin donation. Details here.
Faulty Towers is coming to town. Step inside the TV series for a highly improvised, highly interactive and fully immersive show. Tickets include a 3-course meal and 2hr interactive show. The show has sold out for December but itβs returning in April next year. Details here.
Bloody Murder: It began as a classic British murder mystery, but after yet another poisoning, Lady Somerset has had enough! Now, the characters are rebelling against their author, and it's bloody murder. Canberra Rep's last show of the year, Bloody Murder will be playing from November 22 to December 7. Details here.
Mercure Courtyard Concerts: The Mercure Courtyard concerts are back. This weekend, Canberra's newest blues ensemble Blues Train will be performing. Details here.
Canberra Qwire: Canberra's LGBTQIA+ choir will be joined by three choirs from their OUT and About project: Good Vibes (Yass), Voice Works (Goulburn) and Vocal Local (Goulburn) for a joyful concert. Details here.
Whitlam's Birds: A flock of fun bird sculptures have flown into Whitlam. They'll be there until December 7. The sculptures were constructed by local artist Tom Buckland and are made from recycled material. Details here.
There's A Crack in Everything...: Five local potters have been inspired by the many poems celebrating imperfection. Their work explores the imperfections that emerge from the practice of the handmade. The exhibition is now on at Strathnairn Arts. Details here.
Symphony Fantastique: The National Capital Orchestra will be performing Berlioz's groundbreaking Symphonie Fantastique, a pioneering masterpiece of the Romantic era. Details here.
Lakeside at Five: Eric Ajaye and Lachlan Coventry will be performing in the final Lakeside at Five concert for 2024. Lakeside at Five is a series of jazz and blues concerts at Tuggeranong Arts. Entry is just a gold coin. Details here.
Jazz at ANU: The Community Music Centre at the ANU School of Music is hosting two jazz concerts this week. Details here.
MoAD is hosting a fun-filled day for kids in celebration of World Children's Day. There will be a disco in King's Hall and outside will be outdoor games, crafting stations and dress ups. It's happening this Saturday. Details here.

Snow Scholarships: The Snow Foundation has partnered with the University of Canberra to offer 160 scholarships, each providing $30,000 per year for the duration of a degree. The funding supports living expenses, tutoring, and leadership development, aiming to break down financial barriers that prevent access to university education. More.
Millionaire Buys Summernats Stake: Lottery businessman Adrian Portelli has bought a stake in Summernats parent company Out There Group. Portelli made headlines buying all the houses from The Block. The investment will be used to expand Summernats into the United States.
YWCA Canberra has launched "Plate Up", urging Canberrans to donate to the Lanyon Food Hub. The money will be used to provide gift cards to support the growing number of community members living with food insecurity this holiday season. Details here.
β½οΈ Canberra United: Canberra lost 2-0 to Adelaide United. Canberra currently sits 5th on the table. Next weekend is the A-League's Unite Round, with every club playing in Sydney.
π Canberra Chill: Both the Men's and Women's Chill teams lost at home to Melbourne HC. The women, who reached the grand final last season, have now missed out on qualifying for the finals. The men, however, will compete in the finals in Hobart on November 30, with games available to watch on 7plus.
π UC Capitals: The Capitals lost their fourth straight game, losing 98-77 to the defending champions Southside Flyers. They'll be playing again this Thursday against Townsville. Tickets here.
