A 15-minute city is a planning concept where everyday essentials and services are accessible in less than 15 minutes from any place in the city by walking or biking. Planners believe this increases the liveability of neighbourhoods.
A recent publication by the Sustainable Cities Research Line, a Sony Computer Science Laboratories research team in Italy, analysed 10,000 cities worldwide. No Australian cities met the 15-minute threshold. The closest city was Hobart, with a 16-minute average, and Canberra came in second with 17 minutes.
This map shows how close services are, in different areas of the city. While this isn't an exact science, due to the way data is collected, it does give a good visual demonstration of the differences between areas of Canberra.
Bonner Primary is holding a book fair, there are a ton of activities in Tuggeranong for SouthFest, a Cambodian food fair is happening, and there's much more this weekend in Canberra.

Bus services are expected to resume normal operations today following an unprotected strike by drivers yesterday. The strike was prompted by concerns over workplace violence. The decision to strike was made after a driver was assaulted on Thursday evening. The TWU says an average of 40 assaults have been happening every month.
I apologise for not covering the strike in yesterday's digest—the issue was sent out before the news broke. I hope it didn't leave too many of you stranded
