🍔 Free Burgers at Grease Monkey Belconnen

The Grease Monkey burger van will be opening at the Belconnen Capital Food Market this weekend. To celebrate their arrival, they’ll be giving away 300 free burgers. Details here.

Coming Up: 🧀 Oozy Boozy Cheese and Wine Market

Le Cheeserie will be holding a wine and cheese market at the Vault during the long weekend of June. Organised in 1.5-hour time slots, each ticket includes an Italian stemless wine glass, a cheese board and samples of local wines and international cheeses. Details here.


Something to do: Indigenous Plant Use Walks

Discover the importance of plants to First Nations Australians and how they are used for food, medicine and tools on a ranger-guided walk through the Botanic Gardens. The walks are happening this Monday. Details here.

The Sly Fox coffee cart can be found on the main bike path in O’Connor. Today they are hosting a community market where you’ll find locally made goods, food and drinks. Details here.


On Now: West Of Murrumbidgee Exhibition

See a fascinating display of artefacts, photographs and documents showing what life was like for settler-Australians, their descendants and others over the past 200 years in Tidbinbilla, Tharwa, Namadgi and the surrounding region. It’s on now at the Namadgi Visitor Centre. Details here.


Sport: 🏉 Brumbies Smash Rebels

The Brumbies beat the Rebels 53-17 at Canberra Stadium on Friday night. The record-breaking win keeps the Brumbies in the hunt for a top-two finish, which would give the Brumbies an easier finals run and a home advantage.


Something to do: 🐞 Paper Insect Workshop

In this unique workshop, Jo from Paper Couture will teach you how to create a 3D Insect from paper and frame it ‘entomology style’ in a boxed frame. The workshops are running this weekend and next weekend. Details here.

Jo’s exhibition of paper insects is also on at the Bisonhome Cottage this Saturday from 2pm.

City Cave Open Day: City Cave (float tanks and sauna) is holding its official opening today. They’re running tours of the facility. More.

Crepes And Beer: Zierholz Brewery and Le Petit Breton Crepes beer/food trucks will be in Norgrove Park in Kingston today from 11:30am to 5pm.

Tuggeranong Repair Cafe: Bring along broken household items to get them repaired. The repair cafe is happening on Sunday More.

Rio Grande Do Sul Fundraiser: The Canberra Brazillan community are raising money for those impacted by floods in southern Brazil. They will be setting up stalls with Brazilian food and goods at Jamison Trash n Treasure.
