The Vault is a concrete and steel warehouse in the Dairy Road precinct previously used as storage by the Royal Mint. This winter, the warehouse is being transformed into Canberra's hottest art and culture destination. There is a packed lineup of events starting next weekend (18th May) and running until August. There will be raves, wine and cheese markets, roller disco, underground music acts and much more.

The ABC recently filmed a new series in Canberra starring UK actors Ben Miller and Sally Phillips. The comedy/drama follows a much-loved children's author who discovers he has a neurodivergent son he never knew existed. The trailer for Austin is now online and it showcases many Canberra icons including the bus stops and Parliament House. Watch it here.
Canberra steak restaurant Botswana Butchery opened in January this year to much fanfare. Just two months later, the parent company, Good Group Australia, went into administration. The restaurant has continued to trade, but administrators have now recommended that the restaurant close. According to the administrator's report, Good Group Australia, which operates restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra, was likely insolvent before the Canberra restaurant even launched.
Need a new set of wheels? The ReCyclery is hosting a second-hand bike sale today at Gungaderra Homestead in Harrison. They have a range of second-life bikes, with regular, kids-sized and step-through bicycle options suitable for adults. Details here.
This Sunday, you can watch the Eurovision grand final on the big screen at the National Film and Sound Archive. Tickets include a glass of bubbly on arrival. Details here.
The Hughes Repair Cafe is happening today at the Hughes Community Centre. The local community group fixes, mends and teaches each other skills to keep stuff out of landfill. Everyone is welcome to drop by with their broken furniture, electronics, homewares and clothing.

Athlon Drive Duplication: Plans have been released for the Athlon Drive Duplication project. The road will be upgraded to deliver two lanes in each direction between Drakeford Drive and Sulwood Drive. More.
AIS To Get $250million Upgrade: The Federal Government will include $250 million in the next weekβs budget for upgrades to the AIS. The upgrades will include a new multi-sport training dome and accommodation facilities. More.
