Rosa’s is a new all-day bar in the National Rose Gardens. It’s part of the Lawns of the Lobby precinct. The Cafe/Bar serves pastries and brekky rolls in the morning before transitioning into a bar with an extensive wine list, Capital Brewing beers on tap, paninis and pizzas available by the slice. Today: 🛴 The Sustainable Travel Street Party
The Sustainable Travel Street Party is happening in Braddon today. You can come and try a number of sustainable transport options, including e-bikes and scooters. There will be food and drinks, and Citizen Kay will be performing. It’s on the corner of Mort and Elouera Streets in Braddon and runs from 12pm to 5pm. Details here.

Coming Up: Darkfield
Darkfield is a multisensory experience that takes place inside purpose-built shipping containers and uses binaural audio, sensory deprivation, and sensory effects to place the audience at the centre of a narrative that is completely at odds with the space it occupies. There are two different 25-minute shows, Séance and Flight. The containers are in Civic Square, and the shows will run from 28th March to the 14th of April. Tickets here.

The ACT’s tallest tree is a Mountain Gum growing in Namadgi National Park. It’s 63 metres high with a 6.5 metre circumference. Find out more.

Paul Hailes harvests, collects and breeds ants from his suburban home in Canberra. Some of these ants can sell for $250 each. The ABC profiled this interesting home business here.
