In tragic news, a cyclist has died after being hit by a car on Lady Denman Drive. Police responded to reports of a BMW sedan colliding with a cyclist at around 2:30pm on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency services treated a 37-year-old cyclist at the scene before they were transported to the Canberra Hospital in a critical condition. Sadly, they were declared deceased soon after. More.
For the first time, Canberra is getting its own version of Monopoly. The Monopoly Canberra edition was developed with the help of Canberra residents and includes sights such as Parliament House, the National Botanic Gardens, Floriade and iconic businesses Mooseheads and Brodburger. There is a rugby double-header happening this Friday night. The Brumbies (women) will take on the Melbourne Rebels before the Brumbies (men) play Moana Pasifika. Kick-off is at 5:05pm. Tickets here.
The Treetops Adventure aerial obstacle course is now open in Majura. It’s the first public high ropes course in the ACT and features 90+ obstacles with 16 ziplines and multiple courses that you can choose to complete. There are also three obstacle courses designed for juniors with children as young as 3 able to take part. Details here.
