Today is St. Patrick’s Day. Several venues in Canberra will be celebrating the day. Here are a few:

The ACT Government is looking to promote busking and help local musicians in Canberra. One problem buskers are facing is an increasingly cashless society. Musicians can apply to the Braddon Busking Hub and they’ll receive a free sign that displays a QR code that passersby can scan to send a tip. The Government is hoping to establish a busking culture on the busy streets in Braddon. Find out more.
The Canberra Lapidary Club is hosting the 2024 Canberra Rock Swap. You’ll find dealers and fossickers selling beautiful jewellery, gemstones, opals, fossils, crystals, rocks, mineral specimens and lapidary supplies. There will a sausage sizzle and the entry to the event is free. Details here.
The Canberra Marathon is happening in three weeks time on the 7th of April. You can choose to race in the marathon, half-marathon, 10km, 5.4km or the kids 2km. All the races start near Old Parliament House. Details here.
