The Canberra Comedy Festival starts tomorrow and runs until March 24th. Some of Australia’s finest comics, including Annabel Crabb, Wil Anderson, Melanie Bracewell, and Akmal, will perform in Canberra. Over 65 shows will be held across 11 days. The full program is here.

After a 5 year hiatus, Skyfire will return this weekend. On Saturday evening, there will be a 20-minute firework show launched from barges on Lake Burley Griffin. A soundtrack to the show will be broadcast on Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3. There will be live music and entertainment leading up to the fireworks, including a Boeing E-7 Wedgetail flyover and an artillery volley from the Federation Guard.
The Dickson Residents Group has released a guide featuring a series of Dickson Discovery Walks to mark 60 years of the Dickson Shops. The self-guided walks showcase the suburb's multicultural heritage. Find out More.

The 2024 Canberra Tree Week Drawing Competition is now accepting entries. This year's theme is Trees are key. Young artists are invited to use their imagination to show the importance of trees. Winning entries will be displayed at the National Botanic Gardens during Canberra Tree Week in May. Winners will also receive a plant donated by Yarralumla Nursery. Entries close on 22nd March.
