News: 👩⚕️ $58 Million in Budget for Children’s Health
The ACT Budget will be delivered today. There have already been many announcements of what’s coming, the latest being $58 million in funding for paediatric inpatient care and community-based services. More.
This Weekend: 🎷 Warm Soup, Cool Jazz
This Saturday, the Mercure Hotel (Braddon) is holding a family-friendly Warm Soup, Cool Jazz evening. Warm up by sampling a selection of soups from the soup bar and chill out with entertainment from the Key Grip Jazz Trio. Details here.

Canberra Spinners and Weavers are holding an open day this Friday from 10am to 3pm. Come along to see weaving, spinning, knitting, and crochet in action.

Bookings have opened for Tidbinbilla’s program of activities over the July school holidays. Activities include learning to find wildlife in Poos Give Us Clues, shelter-making with Cubby House Rules and cooking classic bush tucker with Swaggie Billy Tea and Damper. Details here.

The 777 Bravehearts Marathon features 7 marathons in 7 states in 7 days. The Canberra leg is happening on Saturday, July 6th. Distances are 7km, 14km, 21.2km and 42.2km. Details here.
Dance: Dataset
Local contemporary dance group Australian Dance Party will be performing The Dataset at The Vault (Dairy Road) this week. The show’s theme is definitely a little different - it explores the complex relationship between humanity and data. There’s also a dinner and show package, which includes a dinner and wine at Contentious Character. Details here.
