Coming Up: 🎸 Cold Chisel Concert

Cold Chisel are coming to Canberra in November. The concert has moved to the larger Stage 88 in Commonwealth Park to accommodate more people. The original concert was taking place at Patrick White Lawns and quickly sold out. As of publication, there were still tickets available. Details here.


News: 🔥 Gas Appliances Could Be Banned

The ACT has released its Integrated Energy Plan, which sets out options to meet the zero-net emissions target by 2045. One of the options is a potential ban on gas appliances. More.

Mount Stromlo Observatory is holding a talk by Prof Matthew Colless on the fascinating and rapid evolution of Telescope technology over the last 100 years. Details here.

Exhibition: 🖼️ A Sense of Fragility

Local artist Allison Barnes’s exhibition conveys her personal response to the existential threat of climate change by juxtaposing contrasting materials and methods, including wood, glass, and printed paper, in freestanding spatial constructions, wall-mounted structures, and 2D work. Her exhibition A Sense of Fragility is now on at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space in Manuka. Details here.


Stage: 🎭 A Streetcar Named Desire

Tennessee Williams Pulitzer Prize-winning play, A Streetcar Named Desire, will be performed by the Free-Rain Theatre at ACT Hub. Performances are on now until the 29th of June. Details here.


Stage: Chicago Tickets

The musical Chicago is coming to Canberra in September. The season has been extended due to popular demand. Tickets to the final shows will go on general sale tomorrow at 10am. Details here.
