DNA research has revealed a population of 400 pure dingoes in Namadgi National Park. The ACT will move to protect the dingoes as a native animal as they are currently classified as βwild dog/dingoesβ which lists them as pests. More.
The speed camera near the London Circuit intersection on Northbourne is being moved to the Bunda Street intersection. The new camera location will monitor speed and red light offences. It will begin operating tomorrow. More.

Chifley Gym to Reopen: The Y (formerly YMCA) announced the closure of the Chifley Gym back in March. The health centre provided specialised equipment for the elderly, disabled, and those with complex health issues. The ACT Government has announced they will chip in $473,000 to reopen the gym and a new operator has been secured.
Oculus Glass Arrives: Glass for the impressive Oculus (circular window) in the War Memorial's new southern entrance has arrived from Spain and is being installed. The new entrance should open in September. More.
Belco Half Pipe Opens: The long-awaited seven-meter-tall wooden half-pipe at the Belconnen skatepark has been completed and is now open.
