This Weekend: ๐ถ Paws Party
The Paws Party is back at Haig Park this Sunday with a Taylor Swift-themed edition. There will be a friendship bracelet station to make your own bracelets/collars, A DJ will be playing Taylor hits non-stop, and there will be prizes for dogs in costume. It's happening this Sunday from 11am to 1pm. Details here.
News: ๐๏ธ Tourism Grants Awarded
The latest round of ACT Tourism Development Fund grants have been distributed. The fund was introduced in 2021 to assist the tourism sector after COVID. The program requires a 1:1 matched investment from the business. Some of the recipients included:
- Gang Gang (Downer) received funds to build and upgrade outdoor dining infrastructure to host live music events.
- Beltana Farm (Pialligo) received funds for building a shop focused on the truffle industry and other local produce.
- Share-a-bike received a grant for setting up a pop-up bike hire facility on Lake Burley Griffin (LBG)."
- Yarralumla Play Station is getting funds to build 'The Canberra Maze'.
- Lunetta Trattoria received funds to establish a Red Hill lookout and ground-floor wine bar.

Lakeside at 5 is Tuggeranong Arts' monthly Jazz series. It happens on the 4th Friday of the month. Enjoy a drink from the bar, sit back, and enjoy the live jazz from Harrison Whalan and Imogene Blake, an exciting new double-bass and vocal duo from the ANU. Details here.
