News: 🚲 Construction Starting on Garden City Cycleway

Construction is starting on the long-awaited Garden City Cycleway. Once completed, the cycleway will run from the city to Watson, east of Northbourne, through Braddon, Dickson, and Downer. It will be built in three stages, with the first stage expected to be completed in early 2025. See the route here.

Coming Up: 🪨 See What's Under Parliament House

As part of National Science Week, Parliament House is holding special 'Unconformity' geology tours. Journey underneath the building with an expert geologist from Geoscience Australia to explore the ancient rock formations that helped shape the Canberra region 430 million years ago. 11e Cave, the underground wine bar in Kingston, is in the running for the Gourmet Traveller's Wine Bar of The Year award. 11e is located behind a nondescript red door and is named after the hip 11th arrondissement in Paris. The winners of the awards will be announced on August 19. More.
