Construction is starting on the long-awaited Garden City Cycleway. Once completed, the cycleway will run from the city to Watson, east of Northbourne, through Braddon, Dickson, and Downer. It will be built in three stages, with the first stage expected to be completed in early 2025. See the route here.
Police are investigating two targeted hate crimes where individuals were lured to a location via a fake profile on a dating app and assaulted by a group of people. More.
As part of National Science Week, Parliament House is holding special 'Unconformity' geology tours. Journey underneath the building with an expert geologist from Geoscience Australia to explore the ancient rock formations that helped shape the Canberra region 430 million years ago.
