Acclaimed Australian chef and author Christine Manfield will be coming to Eightysix for two nights in August. The eight-course tasting menu will be heavy on her East Asian influences with a laid-back Aussie approach such as salt and pepper prawn bao and grilled fish koftas. The King and Queen will be visiting Australia in October. Buckingham Palace has announced that the ACT will be the ACT will be one of the stops for the royals. Charles' last visit to Canberra was in 2015.

Something to do: 🎸 Community Rock School

The ANU Community Music Centre provides beginner and developing musicians the opportunity to create and make music through a number of affordable programs. Community Rock School by the Centre gives beginner musicians the opportunity to unleash their inner rock star and play in a band. The course culminates with a performance at Smiths Alternative. 🐶 Doggo Donations

Do you have any unused dog toys, collars, or leads lying around?. Domestic Animal Services (the pound) accepts donations and these items will be put to good use! They can be dropped off at 92 Mugga Lane between 10am and 3pm.

They are also currently accepting donations of blankets, towels, and dog coats (no fluffy bathmats or doonas as they get torn up) to keep the pups warm during the winter. Details here.
