Due to the Summernats City Cruise happening today, the light rail won't operate between the Alinga (City) and Sandford (Mitchell) Street stops between 12pm and 1pm.
Northbourne Avenue all the way up to the federal highway and Antill Street will be have rolling closures. City Services and The Summernats festival haven't given details on exactly when they will start closing intersections on Northbourne.

The National Portrait Gallery's next major exhibition will be Ralph Heimans: Portraiture. Power. Influence.
The exhibition will feature a collection of Heimans renowned portraits and commissions including HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Dame Judi Dench and King Charles III. The exhibition will open on the 15th of March. Details here.
ACT Planning has refused a development application to build a mixed-use Apartment and Serviced Apartment building in Kingston. The project by developer Zapari would have featured 57 serviced apartments and 54 apartments. Some of the serviced apartments would have been below ground.
There were a number of issues identified in the plans, including excessively long corridors, problems with pedestrian access and a lack of accessible street frontage. You can see an overview of the plan here.
The refusal of the development application was welcomed by the Kingston and Barton Residents Association.
