Dry January: 🍺 Alcohol-Free Beers from Canberra
If you’re looking to recover from a boozy December and participate in Dry January, there are a couple of great alcohol-free beers from Canberra Breweries.
Bentspoke is brewing Freewheeler. It has all the hoppy goodness of an IPA without the alcohol. Bentspoke uses a unique filtration process that removes all the fermented beer flavour, leaving the alcohol and water behind. The extracted flavour is then rehydrated to create the beer. You end up with the flavour of full-strength beer without alcohol.
Capital Brewing makes the popular Alc-Less beer. It’s a full-flavoured tropical Pacific Ale without alcohol. It was developed over two years. Capital Brewing encountered many obstacles trying to replicate the flavour of a full-strength beer, including having the tanks free due to the lack of alcohol present.
Both of these beers are available throughout Canberra at most bottle shops. Have you tried either of these brews? What did you think?
