Sport: ⚽️ Canberra United Captain Gets Matildas Call-Up

Canberra United captain Michelle Heyman has been called up to the Matildas squad to replace injured skipper Sam Kerr in the final round of Olympic qualification matches. The 35-year-old veteran last played for the Matildas six years ago. Heyman is currently the top scorer in the A-league. More.


News: 🎰 Pokie Machines Are Now Prohibited in the Molonglo Valley

The Gaming Machine Amendment Bill passed through the legislative assembly on Tuesday. It prohibits poker machines from being installed in the Molonglo Valley and all future new suburbs and districts of the ACT. Clubs can still operate in these areas, but they can’t use Pokie Machines. Data from the ACT Government showed Canberrans lost around $185.8 million to gambling in 2022.
