News: π± Mobile Distraction Fines Start Tomorrow
From Tomorrow, motorists caught by mobile device detection cameras illegally using their mobile device will be issued with a fine and demerit points. The cameras can detect if you're holding your phone, including if it's in your lap. There are fixed detection cameras on Hindmarsh and Gungahlin Drive, as well as three portable cameras.

Watch: Hot Air Balloon Lands in Backyard
A hot air balloon made a surprise landing in a backyard on Port Arthur Street in Lyons. Emergency services were on the scene, but there were no injuries and only minor damage to three properties. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau are investigating. Details here.

Star of comedy Please Like Me Josh Thomas, is performing in Canberra this Friday at The Canberra Theatre. The show is a comedic look at working out how to do the small, mundane tasks in life, like tidying up. There are still tickets available. Tickets Here.

The Festival of Speed is happening in two weeks' time at Thoroughbred Park. There will be up to 150 rare and unique exotic vehicles on show. The festival is modelled on the U.K.'s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Details here.
