Sport: Raiders are Frontrunners to Sign Luciano Leilua

The Raiders have emerged as shock frontrunners in a race to sign Luciano Leilua. Leilua has asked the Cowboys for an immediate release from the club. The Dragons were expected to sign Leilua, but Canberra has quietly negotiated with the forward. More.

🍋 Canberra’s Hard Lemonade Collab

Oscar’s Bakery Cafe has served the popular Turkish lemonade at the Multicultural Festival since 2019. This year, they’ve teamed up with another local business, Underground Spirits, to launch a Hard Lemonade. You’ll be able to enjoy the tangy taste of Turkey infused with Canberra vodka at Oscar’s stand near the carousel. Details here.

Holey Moley combines a mini golf course and a bar. It features unique holes inspired by everything from the everyday to childhood faves. Holey Moley currently operates 20+ venues across Australia. I’ll have more details on the location and opening date soon. Details here.

News: 🚗 Law Courts Carpark Changes

The block with the Law Courts Carpark on London Circuit was sold last year. A new mixed-use development will be built on the site. Construction will begin later this year, but in the meantime, the new owners will operate the car park. Boom gates will be installed on Monday and will be operational on Tuesday. There are no details yet on whether this car park will be priced differently from the ACT Government car parks. More.

Today: 🔉 Carnival Inna Capital

Reload Bar in the city is bringing UK Soundsystem Culture to Canberra alongside the multicultural festival. They are emulating what would be prominent in the boroughs of London and the UK - a mix of Caribbean, African, Euro and UK Sounds and Culture. The Laneway Party is happening today from 2pm to 2am. It’s an 18+ event. Tickets here.

ACT Wildlife rescues, rehabilitates and releases native Australian wildlife. They are holding a fundraising ball on March 1st. You can also bid on the Auction without attending. Details here.
