News: 🚊 Light Rail Barton Option Still A Possibility

Planning documents for stage 2b of the light rail have been updated to include an option to run through Barton.

It’s still unlikely this Barton “dog leg” option will happen. The ACT Government are looking to reduce the risk of stage 2B running into planning issues with the Commonwealth just in case the preferred, more direct route isn’t viable. The more direct route may potentially run into heritage issues.

The NCA has also hinted they would possibly prefer a stop closer to Old Parliament House. More.


News: Man’s Body Found After ‘Incident’ in Murrumbidgee River

In tragic news, a 23-year-old has died after an ‘incident’ at Uriarra Crossing on the Murrumbidgee River. More.
