This Weekend: π South Canberra Community Markets + Animal Feeding
The South Canberra Community Markets are Canberra's newest market. They are held on the first Saturday of most months at Westwood Farm in Kambah, opposite the Murrumbidgee Golf Club. Details here.

Friday: ποΈ Late Night Shopping at Trove
Trove is Canberra's handmade co-op store in Dickson filled with unique items from local makers and artisans. This Friday, Trove is hosting a Christmas Shopping Night from 5-7pm. Enjoy complimentary bubbles and nibbles, and meet the makers while shopping for handmade gifts. Details here.
Something to do: π΅οΈββοΈ Spies, Stories and Spaces
Have you ever wondered about the history behind the iconic East Block nestled next to Old Parliament House? Standing for nearly a century since opening in early 1927, the heritage-listed East Block was the first building completed in the Parliamentary Triangle and has served as Canberra's original General Post Office, the Prime Minister's Department and ASIO headquarters. The National Archives are holding a free walking tour of the building next Thursday. Details here.

Calthorpes House and Lanyon Homestead have been decorated for Christmas. See how the Calthorpe family dressed their home for Christmas, including their Christmas tree, decorations and Christmas lunch setting. Kids: πΉοΈ Timezone is Coming to Woden
A world of fun and games is coming to Woden. The new Timezone in Woden will feature over 85 arcade games, bowling, a 230-square-metre laser tag arena and PIXELβa high-tech game that transforms the floor into a playground by challenging players to run and jump on different multicoloured panels to conquer each level. Centenary of Kingston Shops
The Kingston Shops are turning 100! In December 1924, the very first Canberra business lease was sold to storekeeper J.B. Young of Queanbeyan for about 2,000 pounds. The original store, located on the corner of Jardine and Giles Streets, is now Winning Appliances.
To celebrate this milestone, the Kingston & Barton Residents Group is hosting a centenary event in Green Square this Saturday. Come along to learn more about the history of the area. Details here.
