Picture this: you've just finished your work Christmas party, with the budget this year only covering a scant selection of canapés. It’s 9pm and you’re still hungry. Where do you turn for a proper late-night meal to soak up the booze? Not long ago, Canberra offered little hope for hungry night owls, but thankfully, a few spots are now keeping their kitchens open late:
Kita: Canberra's original nocturnal hotspot—Kita's Indonesian-inspired menu is available until 5 a.m. You'll find Kita in Narrabundah. Details here.
Ikigai Ramen: Recently extending its hours until midnight, Ikigai Ramen in Gungahlin offers authentic Japanese comfort food. Details here.
Yakitori38: Located in the Sydney Building, Yakitori38 serves grilled skewers and other Japanese small plates. They're open late Tuesday through Saturday. Details here.
Multi Yummy: Multi Yummy in the City satisfies late-night cravings with a wide range of Asian dishes. They're open until 12:30 a.m. every day. You'll find them on Marcus Clarke Street in City West.
