City Stadium: Wondering what the latest hullabaloo over the city stadium was about? Sports Minister Yvette Berry recently responded to a question on notice. She was asked by the Liberal party what the cost of a city stadium would be. Her response cited figures from an independent report by construction consultants WT Partnership, estimating the cost at upwards of $2.1 billion—significantly higher than previous estimates. The ACT Government has long abandoned their own decade-old idea of a city stadium and is now focusing on building a new stadium in Bruce.

Right to a Healthy Environment: The ACT has become the first jurisdiction in Australia to recognise the right to a healthy environment. The bill passed yesterday. More.
