New Eats: ☕️ Recess Coffee

Recess Coffee is a new cafe in Griffith from Canberra hospitality veterans Anthony Iannelli (Terra) and Scott Brewer (previously Barrio). You’ll find an interior that charmingly evokes a previous era, complete with a retro feel and vinyl records playing throughout the day. Their service is also from another era - no QR codes. Recess is bringing back table service! The menu created by Vance Arellano (formerly Silo) has all the classic brunch staples as well as a more filling lunch menu. Factory Fire in Queanbeyan: You may have noticed smoke around Queanbeyan yesterday. It was caused by a factory fire that required 30 firefighters from NSW and ACT to extinguish.

Canberran Wins City2Surf: Canberran Leanne Pompeani has won the City2Surf race for the second time in Sydney. She completed the 14km course in 45 minutes 38 seconds.

Arsonist Sets Themself on Fire: Police released footage of an arson attack on Gold Blade Barbers in Gungahlin. The alleged arsonist set himself alight during the incident. More.
