News: 🎞️ IMAX Coming to Canberra
Dendy in the City will open Canberra's first IMAX cinema screen in November. IMAX theatres have much larger screens and a higher-resolution image to create a more immersive experience. Previously, Canberrans would need to travel to Sydney or Melbourne to see a film in IMAX.
This Weekend: 🚘 See Classic Cars in Canberra
One Saturday a month, Ollie’s Garage in Fyshwick opens its museum-like display of classic cars and luxury vehicles featuring Survivor Cars, RR & Bentleys & more. The display is open this Saturday from 9am to 12pm. Details here.
Coming Up: The Wharf Revue
After 25 years, The Wharf Revue has decided this year’s performance will be their last. Tickets have gone on sale for the popular satirical send-up, which will be performed in Canberra from 25 October to 2 November. Details here.

News: 🪗 Smith’s Alternative is Expanding
Smith’s Alternative, one of Canberra’s most vibrant live music venues, is expanding upstairs. The new upper-floor performance space, to be called McGregor Hall, will feature room for 90 people, a bar, and a projection system for film festivals and screenings. The grand opening will be Friday 16th August from 5pm to 9pm.
