The Canberra Airport Open Day is happening today from 9am to 3pm. This year, it's bigger than ever, with the Airport partnering with the ACT Emergency Services Agency. Climb aboard modern and historical aircraft and get up close to emergency services vehicles, including trucks and helicopters. The event is free, but you'll need to register for a ticket. The Canberra Marathon is happening this Sunday. There will be a number of road closures around the National Triangle. You can view a map of the closures here.
Raiders Re-Sign Matt Timoko
The Raiders have re-signed New Zealand international Matt Timoko until the end of the 2026 season. Timoko has scored 20 tries in his 64 appearances for the Raiders. More.

On Now: Temple at NFSA
The National Film and Sound Archive's latest installation Temple is now showing. Created by Australian artists Leila Jeffreys and Melvin J. Montalban, this artwork celebrates the awe-inspiring beauty of native cockatoos. Slow-motion visuals play across a triptych of towering screens. The piece was first commissioned for Vivid in Sydney. News: π Steam Train Likely Cause of Fire
ACT Rural Fire Service has said a small and quickly contained fire in Kowen Forest this week was most likely the result of sparks from a steam train.
The Canberra Picnic Train ran between Canberra and Bungendore over the long weekend. ABC Radio caught up with ACT Rural Fire Service Chief Officer Rohan Scott here.
