Jasper + Myrtle is a local business that makes chocolate from scratch here in Canberra. All of Jasper + Myrtle's chocolates are handmade from cacao beans imported from Papua New Guinea, particularly the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. Owners Li Peng and Peter travel to Papua New Guinea each year to ethically source the best cacao beans.

Bruce Armstrong, the artist who created the beloved Belconnen Owl, has died. A message posted to his Instagram page said: "Im sorry to say that Bruce Armstrong left us this morning after a long and brave battle with a terrible illness...".
The Owl sculpture was unveiled in 2011 and quickly achieved cult status.

The Heritage-listed Ginninderra Police Station building has burned down in suspicious circumstances. The fire was spotted by police at 12.50am on Thursday, and they are currently investigating the cause of the blaze. The Federation-style building was constructed in the early 1900s. More.
