This Sunday is National Sustainable House Day. It's your chance to explore some of Australia's most inspiring homes with a couple of events happening around Canberra:
Community organisation SEE-Change is hosting a Sustainable House Hop. Tour a number of sustainable homes around Canberra, be inspired and learn how to build an environmentally responsible home. Details here.
The Suburban Land Agency is hosting an event at their display village, which will be filled with insightful panel discussions, demonstrations, live music, and kids' activities. Television presenter Jamie Durie will also be there to share the challenges he faced in building his own sustainable home. You'll also be able to tour the innovative display village. Details here.
Tour the Mulligans Flat Woodland sanctuary at night, inside the predator-proof fence where native animals are thriving in the absence of feral cats and foxes.
On this tour, you might be lucky enough to spot the extremely cute Eastern Bettong foraging on native truffles. This species has been extinct from The Australian mainland for almost 100 years. The tours run on Friday and Saturday nights. Details here.
Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary is Australia's first Box-Gum Grassy woodland that is free of foxes, cats, rabbits and hares. It's open 24/7 to the public and is situated on the edge of Gungahlin.

The new CIT Woden Campus will be opening in 2025. The ACT Government is currently seeking ideas from the community to name the public plazas and shared spaces in the new precinct. They are looking for names from the themes First Nations, Innovation and Education. Or you can suggest a unique name outside of these themes. You have until the end of April to suggest a name.
